First Hawaiian Bank Officer Promotions

(Honolulu, Hawaii, February 24, 2004) – First Hawaiian Bank Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Walter A. Dods, Jr. announced the following officer promotions:

  • Sheri-Ann T. Higa to assistant vice president and sales manager, Kapiolani Banking Center. Higa joined First Hawaiian in 1988 as a management trainee. She was promoted to personal banking officer in 1998 and sales manager in 2002. Higa is a graduate of Waipahu High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii.
  • Viviene Q. Lam to assistant vice president, Controller’s Division. Lam joined First Hawaiian in 1989 as a technical support assistant. She was promoted to microcomputer analyst in 1996 and microcomputer operations officer in 1998. Lam is a graduate of Roosevelt High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa.
  • Don Y. Kouchi to branch manager, Kamehameha Branch. Kouchi joined First Hawaiian in 1984 as a loan representative. He has held various positions as assistant branch manager, personal banking officer and sales manager. Kouchi is a graduate of Hilo High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University.

First Hawaiian Bank also announced the officer appointments of:

  • Lloyd Okazaki to vice president and business banking officer, Pearlridge Branch.
  • Christine Nutaitis to assistant vice president, Audit Division
  • Edwin Tokuoka to assistant vice president, Audit Division.
  • Maura C. Alvaro to procedures officer, Publications Department.
  • Karen Y. Matsumoto to operations officers, Mortgage Banking Department.
