Senior Vice President Melvin Mow Promoted First Hawaiian Bank

(Honolulu, Hawaii, March 7, 2005) -- First Hawaiian Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Don Horner announced that Senior Vice President Melvin Mow has been promoted to Deputy Manager of the Credit Administration Division.

The division is responsible for commercial loan administration and credit quality.

Mow joined the bank in 1972 as a management trainee and has held several branch leadership assignments on Guam, the Main Banking Center and as manager of Kapiolani Banking Center. He has been assigned to the Credit Administration Division since 1999.

Mow is a graduate of Punahou School, the University of Redlands and the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle. He is a board member and treasurer of Youth for Christ Hawaii.
