First Hawaiian Bank Announces Changes in Wealth Management Area

(Honolulu, Hawaii, March 16, 2005) -- First Hawaiian Bank has made a series of organizational changes to expand the bank's wealth management area, President and Chief Executive Officer Don Horner announced today.

"Wealth management, private banking, trust and investments are key growth areas for our bank in the future," Horner said. "We're giving this expanding area increased emphasis and resources. We've realigned responsibilities internally to better serve our customers."

Horner announced that:

  • Executive Vice President Robert Fujioka will head the Commercial Banking & Trust Group, with new responsibilities for trust and the bank's Bishop Street Capital Management investment subsidiary. He continues to oversee the bank's corporate lending activities.
  • Executive Vice President Robin Midkiff will head a new Private Banking Segment within the Retail Banking Group. She will be involved in wealth management strategy, business development and enhancement of product choices for customers.
  • Gregory Ratté will serve as Chief Investment Officer of the Commercial Banking & Trust Group and continues as President of Bishop Street Capital Management.
