First Hawaiian Bank Officer Promotions

(Honolulu, Hawaii, March 28. 2005) – First Hawaiian Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Donald G. Horner announced the officer promotions of

  • Becky L. Thomas to assistant vice president and retail systems manager, Retail Systems Department.  Thomas joined First Hawaiian in 1983 as a teller. She has held various positions as teller trainer, head teller, assistant service supervisor, service supervisor and retail systems officer.
  • Paula R. A. Kalima to assistant vice president and compliance officer, RE Lending Support Department.  Kalima joined First Hawaiian in 1996 as a residential loan underwriter, was promoted to RE loan officer in 1997 and compliance officer in 1999.  She is a member of the Mortgage Banking Association of Hawaii, the Hawaii Financial Regulatory Compliance Association and a board member for Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii.
  • Joyce Vidinha to branch manager, Kukui Grove Branch.  Vidinha joined First Hawaiian in 1977 as a clerk. She has also held positions as teller, assistant service supervisor, service manager, personal banking officer and sales manager.  She is a graduate of McKinley High School and is a member of the Kauai Chamber of Commerce.
