First Hawaiian Bank Names Giesa to Head Private Client Services in Bank's Trust Division

(Honolulu, Hawaii, May 12, 2004) Michael Giesa, who has 34 years of experience in personal trust and investment management, has been appointed Senior Vice President of First Hawaiian Bank and manager of Client Financial Services in the bank's Trust Division, part of the Financial Management Group.

Giesa succeeds Doug Wilson, who has retired.

Over the last four years, Giesa created and managed the trust and investment management program for Allstate Bank in Illinois, a subsidiary of Allstate Insurance Company. Previously, he managed trust and private client services for Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo), West One Trust in Utah and West One Bank in Idaho.

He has extensive experience in personal trust management, wealth management, investments and employee benefit plans.

Giesa graduated from Albertson College of Idaho, earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. He holds NASD Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses.
