YWCA OF OAHU RECEIVES $50,000 GRANT
FROM FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK FOUNDATION
(Honolulu, Hawaii, June 11, 2008) -YWCA of Oahu has received a grant of $50,000 from The First Hawaiian Bank Foundation, the charitable arm of First Hawaiian Bank, according to an announcement by Don Horner, First Hawaiian Bank's president and chief executive officer. The grant, which will be paid over five years, will support the YWCA's“Power to Change” capital campaign to revitalize Laniakea, their flagship headquarters in downtown Honolulu.
Once completed, the Laniakea Leadership Center will be a vital gathering place for women, helping them make lasting connections in the community.
