FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK MANAGEMENT PROMOTIONS
(Honolulu, Hawaii, July 31, 2008) - First Hawaiian Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Don Horner announced the following management promotions:
- Glenn T. Fukuda has been promoted from assistant vice president to vice president, Controller's Division. Fukuda joined First Hawaiian Bank in 1986 as a CPA and has worked in the Controller's Division for the past 22 years. He currently provides oversight and support to all areas in the bank. He is a graduate of Damien Memorial High School and the University of Hawaii.
- Bernadette K. Gaspar has been promoted to vice president and centralized flooring operations manager, Hawaii Dealer Division. Gaspar will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Hawaii Dealer Division which encompasses Hawaii, Western Region, Guam and Saipan. Gapar began her career at First Hawaiian in 1988 as a Flooring Clerk. She is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools.
- Brent E. Helgeson has been promoted to senior vice president and deputy division manager. Helgeson, who has been at First Hawaiian Bank for over 18 years, will oversee the wholesale operations of the Western Region Dealer Center. He is a graduate of Waimea High School on Kauai and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
- Cynthia M. Yamasaki has joined the bank as vice president, Human Resources Division. Yamasaki brings over 28 years of experience with global corporations and local Hawaii companies including Bank of Hawaii, Title Guaranty, GE Capital of Hawaii, and Sprint. She is a certified Six Sigma Quality Master Black Belt and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii and an MBA degree from the University of Phoenix.
