Q: How do I access my Statement Rewards?
A:

After logging into FHB Online, select your debit or credit card account, click on More Actions, and select Rewards.  Your offers could take several seconds to load before you see them.

Q: I just enrolled in Online Banking and I get an error message when trying to access my Statement Rewards. When will I be able to view my offers?
A:

It can take time for Statement Rewards to be enabled for new Online Banking accounts.  Please try again after 2 business days.  Additionally, offers are tied to your spending behavior, so once your account is enabled, it may take additional time for them to appear in your account.

Q: What is Statement Rewards, and how does it work?
A:

Statement Rewards is a free money-saving program that brings you deals and discounts at the nation’s leading merchants through FHB Online, our convenient online banking service. As a personal debit and/or credit cardholder, or business debit cardholder, Statement Rewards dynamically selects offers after analyzing your transactions and then matches and presents rewards that are tailored to you. Click on the offer to activate it and then simply meet the terms to receive your reward.

Q: What kind of rebates can I receive?
A:

Statement Rewards will typically provide deals and discounts for the country’s leading retailers such as department stores, restaurants, specialty stores, etc. based on your past and current purchasing behavior. Offers are in the form of either a straight dollar amount or a percentage of spend. For example, get $5 cash back when you spend $50 or more, or get 20% cash back on your next purchase of $25 or more.

Q: How can I receive more offers?
A:

To optimize the number of rewards you can get, use your card at leading national retailers and local merchants such as department stores, restaurants, specialty stores, etc.

Q: A friend of mine got a Statement Rewards offer from X merchant. I could use that offer. How can I get that offer?
A:

Statement Rewards dynamically selects offers after analyzing your transactions and then matches and presents rewards that are tailored to you. You can help the system better personalize your reward selection by using the Like and Dislike buttons next to your rewards.

Q: I shopped at one merchant and now I see an offer tagged to it from another. Why is that?
A:

After analyzing your transactions, the system determined that the offer matched your purchase because it was in a similar transaction category.

Q: Does Statement Rewards have local merchant offers?
A:

Statement Rewards typically will provide deals and discounts for the country’s leading retailers such as department stores, restaurants, specialty stores, etc. Though local merchant offers are not currently available, the offers and participating merchants are constantly changing and could well include local merchants in the future.

Q: I thought Statement Rewards would give me offers from a merchant because I shop there often. Is that not how it works?
A:

The system dynamically selects rewards after analyzing your specific transactions and matching them to the most relevant rewards available. Merchant offers are refreshed constantly. Although you did not receive a specific merchant’s offer this time, it may appear in the future.

Q: How soon will I receive my rebate?
A:

The timing of the rebate credit is dependent on when the merchant posts the transaction (and can vary), but is typically received within a few business days of when the transaction posts to your account. You can identify this transaction by the description which should include “STMT RWDS – (merchant name).” Please note, however, that it can take about 60 days (from the date the transaction posted to your account) for rebate credits to post to your account.

Q: What if I don’t receive my rebate?
A:

If you have not received your rebate after 60 days, please contact FHB’s 24-hour Customer Service at 808-844-4444 (toll free at 888-844-4444). To help research your request, please be prepared to provide your transaction amount and date.

Q: I live in Guam (or Saipan). What kind of offers can I receive here?
A:

Statement Rewards is currently not available for Guam / CNMI customers.

Q: How does the bank choose what merchants can make offers to customers through Statement Rewards?
A:

First Hawaiian Bank has partnered with a leading service provider who has a network that covers the top U.S. retailers and thousands of local merchants across the country. Additionally, we are looking at including a local merchant referral component to the program.
