If COVID-19 has affected your ability to pay your credit cards, loans, or mortgage due to financial hardship, we encourage you to get in touch with one of our bankers at the numbers listed below.

Mortgage Loan Assistance

First Hawaiian Bank is offering relief options designed to fit your needs, including mortgage forbearances (up to 12 months), and deferrals (up to six months). Relief options will depend on the type of mortgage.

Has your small business been impacted by COVID-19? We are offering a range of relief options to help you through this challenging time.

Fee Waivers

The following fee waivers are being offered through September 30, 2020 for new and existing customers.

  • Merchant Services: Waiving the $25/minimum monthly fee. eDeposit (Remote Deposit Capture): Waiving setup fee and all processing fees (includes maintenance and item fees).
  • FHB Online Business Center ACH Modules: Waiving setup, monthly maintenance and all ACH fees (not including return fees) and Report module fees.
  • Wholesale Lockbox: Waiving setup fee and monthly maintenance fee.

Loan & Credit Card Deferrals

We are assisting existing business loan and credit card customers with loan deferrals with extensions up to three months.

SBA Paycheck Protection Program

This Program is intended to help small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by providing “fully forgivable” loans up to $10 million to cover up to 8 weeks of payroll expenses – including benefits – and can also be used to make mortgage interest, lease and utility payments.

Main Street Lending Program

First Hawaiian Bank is a participating lender in the Main Street Lending Program (MSLP), a loan program created to help businesses, including certain nonprofits, impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic maintain their operations and payroll until economic conditions normalize. Unlike the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), MSLP loans may be used for a broad range of business expenses and must be repaid.

The MSLP is available through December 31, 2020 and open to businesses with 15,000 or fewer employees or with 2019 annual revenues of $5 billion or less.

Protecting Your Health and Safety

First Hawaiian Bank has implemented the following health and safety guidelines at all of its branches and facilities:

    We encourage you to enroll for our FHB Online and FHB Mobile banking services. These 24/7 banking services will allow you to do banking anytime, anywhere. You can transfer funds, pay bills, and with FHB Mobile you can deposit a check by taking a photo of it. All of our ATMs are operational and you may speak to one of our Call Center representatives.

  • What should I do if I am experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19?

    We encourage you to contact your banker to discuss options for your unique situation or if you prefer, please contact us at one of the below phone numbers. We offer consumer loan deferrals for PayAnyDay personal loans, auto loans and credit cards up to three months and mortgage loan forbearance (up to 12 months), and deferrals (up to six months). Relief options will depend on the type of mortgage. For our business customers we offer payment deferrals, fee waivers and online banking assistance.
