First Hawaiian Bank to Host Open House Celebration at Newly Renovated Pearlridge Branch on January 25
Featuring a Neighborhood Marketplace, Live Music, and Demonstrations of Mobile Banking and the New “no envelope” ATMs
HONOLULU, January 21, 2020 – First Hawaiian Bank (FHB) will hold a community open house to celebrate the renovation of its Pearlridge Branch, recently redesigned to provide a more engaging banking experience for customers, on Saturday, January 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The open house will include a neighborhood marketplace featuring local vendors Island Slipper, Ani’s Bakery, and Phiten, as well as live music and a prize drawing giveaway of two, $100 gift certificates for Foodland.
The open house event is a fun, engaging way to invite the public into the redesigned space and experience its new features, including the branch’s “no envelope” ATMs. Digital ambassadors will be on-hand to demonstrate the convenience and ease of FHB’s Mobile banking and the branch’s new “no envelope” ATMs as well as answer questions about FHB’s online banking tools.
The first 100 customers to arrive at the branch open house will receive a free tote bag.
The Pearlridge Branch, located in Aiea, is a full-service branch with personal bankers, wealth management advisors, loan officers, and a dedicated business banking team, servicing businesses in the western and central Oahu area.

Overall Design: The renovation was inspired by the wai (water) of the area, symbolizing not only the natural source that sustains life but also water as the source of waiwai (wealth). The re-design was strongly influenced by natural elements, and the materials used were thoughtfully selected to integrate with the existing and iconic geometry and soaring sandstone walls.
Self-Service Welcome Area: Convenient 24/7 access to two “no envelope” ATMs outside the branch and two “no envelope” ATMs available during business hours inside the branch. The new “no envelope” ATMs feature several language options including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish.
Convenience Area: An open lobby with inviting lounge areas, a concierge desk, and customer service pods offer quick, “stop in” service with bank staff for everyday transactions and account information.
Financial Services Area: One-to-one personalized consultations with First Hawaiian Bank’s expert banking professionals are available. Several private meeting spaces are available for customers desiring additional privacy to discuss loans, deposits, retirement planning, wealth management, and business banking needs.
