First Hawaiian Bank Announces Three Executive Vice President Promotions And One New Hire

HONOLULU, February 13, 2020 – Today, First Hawaiian Bank announced the advancement of three individuals to executive vice president positions and one new hire. Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Harrison is pleased to congratulate the following bank officers on their hard work and well-deserved promotions to executive vice president:

  • Darrick Ching, executive vice president, Consumer Branch Banking Division. Ching is responsible for leading and managing strategic initiatives for the Retail Banking Group at First Hawaiian Bank. His areas of focus include retail banking strategy, incentive plans and transformation. Ching joined the Bank in 2013 and has held various leadership roles. He is a Pacific Coast Banking School graduate.
  • Conrad Figueroa, executive vice president and region manager, Western Region Dealer Center. Figueroa provides commercial lending to the franchised new car dealership industry in California. Figueroa joined First Hawaiian Bank in 2013 and has 30 years of banking experience, which includes serving as business banking officer, branch manager and relationship manager in a regional commercial banking office.
  • Kevin Sakamoto, EVP & Consumer Banking Division Manager. Sakamoto is responsible for overseeing Credit and Deposit Products, Omni Channel Center, Call Center and the Digital Service Center. He joins First Hawaiian Bank with over 26 years of diverse banking experience, and was previously head of a Consumer Banking Segment with another local Hawaii bank where he management and leadership positions, including Enterprise Operations and Branch Delivery, and served on the Managing Committee.
  • Brian Uemori, executive vice president and chief credit officer, Credit Administration Division (CAD). Uemori is responsible for risk oversight and active management of First Hawaiian Bank’s loan portfolio and the lending objectives and overall direction of CAD as well as the Credit, Managed Assets and Appraisal Departments. Uemori joined the Bank in 2019 with 17 years of banking experience, primarily in commercial lending.
