First Hawaiian Bank Announces Six Senior Vice President Promotions And New Hire

HONOLULU, February 21, 2020 – Today, First Hawaiian Bank announced the advancement of six individuals to senior vice president positions and one new hire. Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Harrison is pleased to congratulate the following bank officers on their hard work and well-deserved promotions to senior vice president:

  • Dean Duque, senior vice president and Maui region manager. Duque will continue to manage the operations for all eight of First Hawaiian Bank’s Maui County branches.  He leads a team of bankers in business development and in providing customers with financial solutions that best meet their needs. Duque has 27 years in the financial services industry and joined the Bank in 2007 as a personal banking officer. He has held several leadership roles including branch manager at Lahaina and Kahului branches, loan representative, sales manager, and small business banking manager. He is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle.  
  • Jodie Duvall, senior vice president and manager, Wealth Advisory Division/Private Wealth Management. Duvall leads a team of experienced wealth advisors in creating financial plans that help clients achieve their lifetime objectives. A Certified Financial Planner, Duvall joined First Hawaiian Bank in 2007 and has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle and the Bank’s Emerging Leaders Program.
  • Laurae Imamura, senior vice president and manager, Enterprise Operations Services – Commercial Loan Center. Imamura is responsible for the operational management and documentation of commercial, industrial and real estate loans. She has over 44 years of banking experience and joined First Hawaiian Bank in 1980 as a teller in the Main Banking Center. She previously served as a senior commercial loan servicing specialist in the Commercial Loan Center and vice president in Commercial Loan Servicing, before being appointed the manager of the Enterprise Commercial Loan Center.    
  • Joe Morrison, senior vice president and regional credit supervisor, Credit Administration Division. Morrison provides review and loan approvals for First Hawaiian Bank’s Corporate Banking and First Hawaiian Leasing. He is also responsible for conducting credit workshops on corporate credit analysis and commercial banking, and provides analytic support for the Bank’s Treasury and Investments area.  Morrison has over 30 years of experience in credit analysis and previously worked in commercial banking, investment banking and rating agency sectors.
  • Raymond Phillips, senior vice president, manager and investment product strategist, Investment Services Department/Institutional Advisory Services Division. Phillips manages client investment portfolios by constructing strategic asset allocation models. He is also responsible for evaluating and monitoring investment products and performing economic and financial market research. He has over 20 years of investment experience and joined First Hawaiian Bank in 2004.
  • Ryan Ushijima, senior vice president and compliance officer, Trust Compliance, Wealth Management Group. Ushijima is responsible for all regulatory and audit matters regarding the trust fiduciary administration and investment management of assets in the Wealth Management Group at First Hawaiian Bank. He has 28 years of experience, including seven years as Commissioner of Securities in the Business Registration Division of the State of Hawaii’s Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. 
  • Bill Weeshoff, senior vice president & Marketing Communications Division manager. Weeshoff is responsible for overseeing the Bank’s Brand Strategy, Advertising, Digital Marketing, Public Relations and Special Events. He joins First Hawaiian Bank with over 20 years of extensive strategic marketing and branding experience within various industries including real estate, banking, technology, insurance and travel/tourism, where he developed integrated marketing campaigns for local, national and international markets. He previously held leadership positions with the real estate company Howard Hughes Corporation and the advertising agency MVNP, the Honolulu office of DDB Worldwide.
