FHB Community Care 2015

Hawaii’s 2015 summer heatwave did not deter First Hawaiian Bank employees from volunteering during the hottest months of August and September to help Hawaii public schools and other charities on the neighbor islands. Employees on Guam chose to adopt bus stops in each of the communities that First Hawaiian serves. Every community service project provided employees with enriching opportunities to work alongside one another while making a difference in the communities we call home. (Photos of events coming soon!)

Hawaii 3R’s - 20 Public School Campus Beautification
First Hawaiian employees on Oahu and the Big Island partnered with the non-profit group, Hawaii 3Rs: Repair, Remodel, Restore Our Schools, in their most ambitious project to date, and the bank contributed $50,000 towards paint and supplies for campus beautification projects at 20 public schools. Over 1,000 enthusiastic employees signed up to provide the ‘sweat equity’ to assist Hawaii 3R’s complete projects over the course of several Saturdays.

Family Programs 17th Annual Holiday Party for Foster Keiki
A fun and heart-warming event for all, we were excited to participate again in their annual holiday party for foster keiki in Hawaii. Our volunteers served a hot and delicious hot turkey meal to many of the 2,000 foster keiki and their families present, and returned back to serve more and more until everyone was fed. It was an enjoyable afternoon and best way to spend your time by service to others. View Photos
