Around the World with Kai Lenny
From ice glaciers in Alaska to an exotic archipelago in Spain, professional waterman, Kai Lenny knows Priority Destinations MasterCard can take you there.
Kai = Water
Kai Lenny was born and raised on Maui, where his natural love of the water became the reason for his worldwide travels. He learned to surf when he was 4, while most kids that age are just learning to swim. By age 22, Kai became the reigning six-time Stand Up Paddle World Champion.
Kai primarily competes in stand-up padding but his expertise in the water does not end there. His skill in surfing, wind surfing, kite surfing, and tow-in surfing make him a true “waterman.” He even took second place in his first ever whitewater stand-up paddling race in Colorado, gliding pass seasoned veterans of the sport.
If we looked at Kai’s passport, where will it show he has been?
Kai’s competitions take him across the globe. In 2014 alone, he has competed in 8 different countries. Further, he takes his time in each destination seriously. Wherever he visits, he experiences the different cultures, tastes the native cuisine, and walks among the locals. “I consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world because I’m able to do what I love all over the world” said Kai Lenny.
Kai has left a footprint in this running list of places around the world, including:
- New Zealand
- Abu Dhabi
