Newsweek Names First Hawaiian Bank the Best Big Bank in Hawaii

Honolulu, November 13, 2022 - First Hawaiian Bank (FHB) announced today it was selected as the Best Big Bank in Hawaii by Newsweek magazine. The news publication identified the financial institution in each state that best serves customers’ needs by combining high deposit rates, low fees, and the services and awards that suit customers’ lifestyles.

More than 4,800 FDIC or NCUA-insured financial institutions were reviewed for this ranking, and FHB was selected as the Best Big Bank in Hawaii. According to Newsweek, “We've evaluated thousands of FDIC-insured banks and credit unions, as well as the individual savings and checking accounts they offer, on more than 50 different factors in order to identify the best-in-class options in 26 different categories.”

“First Hawaiian Bank being selected as Hawaii’s best big bank is a testament of our teams’ commitment to meeting the individual needs of our customers,” said First Hawaiian Bank Chairman, President and CEO Bob Harrison. “I also would like to thank our customers for their trust in our institution as we assist with their financial goals.”
