Text Banking & Alerts

Enable your device for Text Banking, or to receive email or text Alerts, via FHB Online.

Text banking1 allows you to request your account balances, recent transactions and branch and ATM locations via SMS text message. Alerts are customized messages that you may request be sent via email or SMS text1 notifying you when your accounts have reached a certain balance or when certain transactions occur on your accounts.

Setup Text Banking1 & Enable Mobile Alerts

Text banking1 allows you to request your account balances, recent transactions and branch and ATM locations via SMS text message.

  1. Log in to FHB Online & click the “Mobile” link in the upper right corner

  2. Select "Add New Device".

    Please note: you may see your device already listed by name if you have previously installed the FHB Mobile app, however you will not be able to use Text Banking or receive mobile Alerts until you also add your device's phone number to the list.

  3. Under "Other Services" add your device's phone number and click "Continue"

  4. Select the services you wish to activate and click the "Continue" button.

    • Text Messaging - This will enable your registered mobile device to send and receive text banking SMS messages.

    • Mobile Alerts - This will enable your mobile device to receive SMS account balance and transaction alerts.

    • Mobile Browser - This will send a unique link to our Mobile Web application that can only be used by the registered device.

  5. Under "Other Services" add your device's phone number and click "Continue"

Setup Alerts

Alerts are customized messages that you may request to be sent via email or SMS text1 notifying you when your accounts have reached a certain balance, or when certain transactions occur on your accounts. Alerts can be configured in two ways in FHB Online and can be sent via email or SMS text.

  • Option 1: Select an account and you will see a link to “Create Alert”. Select this option to create and alert for that account.

  • Option 2: From any page in FHB Online, select the “Settings” link in the upper right corner and click the “Security and Alerts” section. Select “Alerts” and complete the form to setup your preferred alerts.

HELPFUL HINTS

  • Short Code #69403: Text banking commands to #69403 or text “Help” for a list of Text Banking commands.

  • Text Banking Availability: At this time Text Banking is only available for Hawaii and Continental U.S. residents.

  • Alerts Timing: Notices are sent out once a day around 8:30am HST after an alert is triggered.

  • Mobile Device List: When activating text banking, you may see your device already listed by name if you have previously installed the FHB Mobile app. However you must also add your device's phone number to the list and check the “Receive Alerts” checkbox.

  • Modify Preferences: To modify the mobile banking services for your device, login to FHB Online and click the “Mobile” link, then use the drop down menu and choose your desired changes.
