Protect Your Account — Update Your Password Today

Posted on Jul 15, 2025

""

In light of recent headlines and widespread data breaches reported across various industries, we want to remind everyone of the critical importance of password hygiene. Compromised credentials are one of the most common methods attackers use to gain unauthorized access — often without employees realizing it. These include usernames and passwords tied to major platforms like Google, Apple, Facebook, and many others.  You can read more here.

Why this matters:
  • These credentials may be actively used or easily cracked.
  • Attackers use them for credential stuffing, phishing, or account takeover attempts—even bypassing MFA in some cases.
  • Malware like infostealers collected these credentials directly from infected devices.

If you haven't changed your password recently, now is a great time to do so.

Avoid Password Reuse — Here's Why It Matters:

Reusing the same password across multiple systems or websites is risky. If one of those sites is breached, attackers can use your stolen credentials to try logging into other services — including our corporate systems.

How to Strengthen Your Password Security:
  • Use unique passwords for each system or account.
  • Avoid using personal information like names, birthdays, or pet names.
  • Create strong passwords: Aim for at least 12 characters, mixing letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) wherever possible.
  • Use a password manager to generate and store secure passwords — it's safer and saves time.
🔁 Time to Update:
We strongly encourage all employees to take 2–3 minutes today to:
  1. Update your corporate password.
  2. Ensure you’re not using the same password across multiple platforms.
  3. Enable MFA on all supported systems.
